Preacher of The Word

Pulpit supply for congregations desiring to give their pastor 

a break (vacation), are without a pastor, or simply desire 

a guest preacher/teacher (with or without a pulpit or a tie).

• I have had the privilege of serving as a missionary in Africa, a solo pastor, and most recently as the Senior Pastor of Mountain View Church in Greeley, Colorado for the past 23+ years. During ten of these years I served on our District Leadership Team -- with four of those years as the Chairman.
• I have also had the privilege of taking several short-term ministry trips back to Africa (DRC), Costa Rica, and Haiti.
• Prior to earning my Master of Divinity degree (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) I earned a BA degree in History & Secondary Education and spent two years teaching 7th-12th graders at an American boarding school (for the children of missionaries & other ex-pats). I have also served as a Youth Pastor and in Camp Ministry (Counselor & Summer Program Director).
• While I have chosen to step aside from full-time pastoral ministry at Mountain View Church, my desire is to continue serving the Lord as He provides opportunities to do so. My greatest passion is studying and preaching/teaching God's Word.  
• While some congregations are able to provide a "speaker's fee", having served as a solo pastor I know that there are churches where the pastor feels like he cannot take a vacation because there is no one in the congregation he is serving who desires &/or who feels they are gifted in communicating Gods' Word. And the church cannot afford to bring in a guest preacher. If that describes your local church, please know that I desire to serve such churches and only ask that you at least cover my travel (and any lodging) expenses. God has and will continue to meet my needs.
• Also, while I am not "certified" by any organization to serve as a "church consultant", I am willing to try serving congregations that desire the help of an "outsider" in their efforts to evaluate their strengths, weaknesses, and needs.
